This document details the requirements for the renewal of deck guardrails and deteriorated posts on the 01 level weather deck of the USNS Arctic.

• Remove, convey to shop, and replace existing W-beam guardrails with new ones.

• Renew miscellaneous hardware and interconnection pieces with new CRES hardware.

• Provide and install approximately 175 linear feet of new support frames.

• Clad weld and grind smooth pitted pads, assuming 100 linear feet of clad welding.

• Align and drill new mounting holes in guardrails and frames.

• Blast and paint new guard rails, frames, and brackets with two coats of primer followed by one topcoat of safety yellow.

• Complete paint touch-ups after installation.

• Paint all exterior surfaces, new and disturbed, to match original, using PPG Paint system requirements.

Solicitation / RFP / RFQ

This Request for Quote (RFQ) is for services in support of USNS ARCTIC in Limassol, Cyprus. The procurement is being conducted by NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Sigonella (FLCSI), Site Naples.

• The core requirement is to perform voyage repair availability (VRA) for the USNS ARCTIC.
