Sole Source Justification
The government's intent to sole source to Shock Tech, Inc. is based on the justification that Shock Tech is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of these Main Engine Exhaust Pipe Resilient Mounts. There are no other authorized distributors, and the use of non-OEM parts could lead to personal injury, equipment failure, and damage. The Main Engine system is classified as critical equipment, and COMSC Instruction mandates the use of OEM parts only.
Submission & Evaluation
While the procurement is intended as sole source, other interested parties may identify their interest and capability. Submissions should include:
- Price(s)
- FOB Destination
- Point of contact (name, phone number)
- Business size
- Payment terms
- A detailed (unpriced) capabilities statement for review by the Technical POC, demonstrating the ability to meet the requirement with OEM or equivalent parts.
Quotes must be valid for a minimum of sixty (60) days. Award will be based on a Best Value determination, considering price, delivery, technical acceptability, and past performance.
