Scope of Work
The required services for the R/V AUK (hull number R5001) include, but are not limited to:
- Haul, block, clean, store, and launch the vessel.
- Underbody coating system application and Prop-Speed coating renewal.
- Inspection and lubrication of seacocks, replacement of anodes, and inspection of cutlass bearings.
- Preventative maintenance and service for main engines (Cummins QSC8.3), generator, and tender engine (Yamaha F15SMHA).
- Replacement of on-deck hydraulic hoses, engine room fans, and charger/inverter.
- Service of fire-fighting systems, alarm system, science winch, and life rafts.
- Updates to Met sensors and wiring, and renewal of SCS system components.
- Fabrication and installation of a new tender cradle and transducer mount.
- Renewal of head sole, replacement of toilet, and replacement of TankSentry sensors.
- Hull plate repairs in the starboard engine room.
- Addressing any additional repairs discovered during yard work (Conditions Found Report). The contractor's facility must be within a 50-statute mile radius of Scituate Harbor, MA, and all work must comply with ABYC and USCG (Subchapter T) requirements.
