Scope of Work

This solicitation covers comprehensive repair and replacement tasks on the USS RUSHMORE (LSD-47) at the 06 Level Weather Deck. Key requirements include:

  • Replacement of approximately 5,841 SF of nonskid deck covering and 100 SF of deck plate.
  • Repair of deck coaming and existing seams/butts, including fabrication and installation of new coaming using 3/16 inch thick mild steel plate (ASTM A36).
  • Repair of MISC portable davit socket braces, including fabrication and installation of new braces using 1/4 inch thick mild steel plate (ASTM A36).
  • Extensive preservation work (approx. 1,525 SF) and repair of pitted surfaces.
  • Welding requirements as per specified references, including NDT on welding joints for davit sockets.
  • Local air hose tests for watertight boundaries and inspection/testing of countermeasure washdown nozzles and deck drains.
  • Cleaning and preservation of new and disturbed surfaces to specified standards (SSPC-SP-11, SSPC-SP-3, SSPC-SP-2).

Contract Details

  • Contract Type: Firm Fixed Price (FFP) job order under an existing MSRA or ABR.
  • Period of Performance: September 14, 2026, to June 30, 2027.
  • Anticipated Award Date: July 16, 2026.
  • Place of Performance: Sasebo, Japan.
  • Eligibility: Restricted to firms with a current U.S. Navy MSRA/ABR Agreement. Firms without such agreements may be ineligible unless sufficient time exists for assessment and execution.
