• Project Schedule Submission: The government requirement for schedule submission is governed by FAR 52.236-15 (7 calendar days after contract execution), taking precedence over other references in Section B (30 days) or the Deliverables Table (10 days).
• Shop Drawings & Submittals: Contractors can propose a schedule for shop drawings, product data, and samples. This proposed plan will be part of the bidder's qualification assessment. The review period for these submittals is typically within a week.
• Notice to Proceed (NTP) and Performance Period: An initial NTP will be issued for submittals. A second NTP will follow after submittal approval, from which the 45-day performance period for procurement and construction will be calculated. The vendor has seven days to commence work after the actual NTP.
• Award Determination: Award will be made to the lowest-priced, technically acceptable, and responsible offeror per Section K. Functional characteristics are evaluated for technical acceptability only, not weighted separately.
• Furniture Edges: Rounded or eased edge profiles for conference tables and chairs are acceptable.
• Color Preferences: While cool-tone colors (gray, blue, blue-gray) are preferred, other colors may be acceptable. The submitted product catalogue is for informational purposes to demonstrate product quality and is not part of the evaluation criteria, though it will be reviewed post-award.
• Origin of Materials: Offerors are not limited to U.S. origin or designated-country construction materials.
• Onsite Work Duration: Onsite work, including delivery, installation, assembly, punch list correction, and final clean-up, is expected to be completed within one week under normal circumstances.
• Personnel Restrictions: Third-country nationals are permitted to work onsite if legally authorized and possess valid work permits. The RFQ site areas are not Controlled Access Areas (CAA).
• Escort: Thai staff will escort workers into the compound; a cleared American escort is not required as it is not a CAA.
• Criminal Background Checks: Criminal background checks are not required for personnel working onsite if the installation duration is less than 10 days.
• Bid Bond: A Bid Bond is not required with the proposal but will be required upon award.
• Performance/Payment Guarantee: Guarantees from reputable U.S. financial institutions are acceptable, as are those from Thai banks.

• Workstation Electrics: Furniture vendors are responsible for preparing partitions with punched holes for standard duplex outlets and COM/TEL outlets. The government will provide associated electrical and communication cabling and outlets. A COR will coordinate this work with other vendors.
• Workstation Design: Bidders may propose alternative enclosed panel systems designs that offer privacy and fulfill the functions described in the Statement of Work. Multiple design options with pricing are acceptable.
• Currency: Pricing must be submitted in Thai Baht (THB) only. Payment will also be in THB.

Solicitation / RFP / RFQ

This Request for Quotes (RFQ) is for the installation of office furniture on the 3rd Floor of the U.S. Embassy Chancery in Bangkok, Thailand. The U.S. government intends to award a contract/purchase order to the responsible company submitting the lowest priced acceptable offer.

• Installation of 21 sets of office furniture, including materials and labor.

• Specific furniture items include workstations, cabinets, conference room tables and chairs, multi-purpose tables and guest chairs, hot desks, and storage units.

• Detailed specifications for dimensions, materials (e.g., HPL worktops), and features (e.g., ergonomic task chairs, lockable cabinets) are provided.

• Site survey/inspection, installation/assembly services, and all necessary materials and equipment are required.

• The contractor must maintain site cleanliness and adhere to U.S. safety standards.
