Quick Summary
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), through its NETWORK CONTRACT OFFICE 19, has issued a Solicitation (P400--436-24-105) for the Miles City VA Campus Demolition project in Miles City, MT. This opportunity is a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside for the complete demolition and removal of twelve buildings and associated infrastructure. Proposals are due May 29, 2026, at 2:00 PM MDT.
Scope of Work
The project entails the complete demolition and removal of approximately 175,000 square feet across twelve buildings at the Miles City VA Campus. This includes foundations, slabs, sidewalks, paved surfaces, and utilities. The scope requires proper disposal of debris, backfilling voided areas with friable topsoil, establishing turfgrass for erosion control, and a metal sweep of the restored site. Utility termination, removal, shut-off, cutting, and capping are also required. The contractor will be responsible for any damage to adjacent items or property.
A recent amendment clarifies that while pile removal is generally excluded, any piles located above one foot below grade must be demolished to one foot below grade. Extensive documentation highlights the presence of asbestos-containing materials (e.g., regulated asbestos in popcorn texture in Buildings 2 and 3) and environmental concerns such as petroleum hydrocarbon impacts, arsenic, and lead in soil and groundwater, which must be managed according to regulations.
