Statement of Work (SOW)

To acquire hotel accommodations for NIH Clinical Center patients and/or their family members/guardians, ensuring a fixed room rate at or below the Government per diem lodging rate for zip code 20892.

• Provide hotel rooms within a 7-mile radius of the NIH Clinical Center (10 Center Drive, Bethesda, MD 20892).

• Offer a fixed room rate at or below the GSA per diem rate for zip code 20892.

• Rooms must be fully furnished and include utilities (heat, AC, electricity, water, sewer), local telephone service (no deposit), and basic cable TV.

• Hotels must comply with all applicable city, county, state, and federal building codes, fire safety regulations (NFPA, IFC), and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

• Specific requirements include:

  • Handicap accessible rooms and features (including for guests who are blind or deaf).
  • Smoke-free rooms (unless requested otherwise).
  • Refrigeration for medications/special dietary products (if requested).
  • Daily housekeeping, linens, towels, toiletries.
  • Iron and ironing board, hair dryer in every room.
  • 24/7 front desk coverage.
