Scope of Work

- First Article Test (FAT): Government testing and approval are required. One each of the Penetrator Assembly, Header Assembly, and Inboard Plug Assembly must be delivered to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for destructive FAT in accordance with CPG 1025, paragraph 4.4. Underwater Explosion Testing is not required.
- Material Specifications: Specific materials like QQ-N-286 and QQ-N-281 are mandated for various parts, with detailed chemical and mechanical analysis requirements.
- Extensive Testing & Certifications: Requirements include visual, dye penetrant, non-destructive, quality conformance, annealing, age hardening, and ultrasonic inspections. Certifications are required for various tests and consumed weld metal.
- Manufacturing Standards: Adherence to specific pressure tolerances, O-ring groove inspection standards (GAC CSD008), and thread inspection per FED-STD-H28 series. Cold forming of internal threads is prohibited, and specific thread lubricants must be used.
