Scope of Work
The contractor will be responsible for a complete data cabling upgrade, including:
- Installation of approximately 300 CAT 6A cable drops, running from the Main Distribution Frame (MDF) room to various alarm panels and specific offices.
- Installation of 6 new data drops at the 5th Floor Intermediate Distribution Frame (IDF) Room.
- Refresh and organization of MDF network equipment racks, including new patch panels, slim patch cords, vertical and horizontal cable management, and 6 new Power Distribution Units (PDUs).
- Comprehensive cable plant planning and design review, component selection and procurement, and development of installation designs and specifications.
- Preparation of accurate cost estimates for all project phases and phased project scheduling to minimize disruption.
- Detailed testing and documentation of all installed systems.
- Compliance with industry standards such as ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-C.2, ANSI/TIA-942, ANSI/TIA-607-C, and BICSI 002, as well as IRS compliance requirements for network rooms and fire-stopping measures.
- Provision of a 1-year workmanship warranty and a 25-year material warranty.
- The contractor is responsible for the removal and disposal of existing legacy cabling.

Additional Notes
Offerors must be registered and have an active record in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov at the time of quote submission. Site visits are not possible. The Government will provide existing floor plans with data drop locations. After-hours or weekend work can be arranged. Contractor personnel will be escorted by IRS staff. "Brand name or equal" to Panduit CAT6A cables is acceptable.
