• As-Cast Condition Sketches: As-cast condition sketches are unavailable.

• Classified Information Flowdown: Access and storage of classified information require a DD254 on file, with flowdown requirements identified within the DD254.

• Missing References: Several references (e.g., Reference (a) Cast IAH Aft Outer Structure Assembly, Reference (c), Reference (d), Reference (b)) were initially not provided but have been included as part of Amendment 1. Some confidential drawings (Rev C) must be mailed.

• Pre-HYSHMA Paint Scope: Pre-HYSHMA paint requirements for COLUMBIA AOS have been removed from the solicitation per Amendment 1. Chemlok primer installation is no longer within scope.

• CCR and PER Access: All applicable CCRs are available via the VIRGINIA Class Configuration Control System (VACCS). PERS will be uploaded along with Q&A responses.

• GFM Casting Availability: The first VCS Government Furnished Material (GFM) casting is estimated to be available February 26, 2026, and the first CLB GFM casting is estimated to be available April 27, 2026.

• Travel CLIN: A CLIN will be provided for contractors to bid cost-only travel.

• Drawing Updates: Drawings P24551100 and P245F0000 have been added as part of Amendment 1.

• Casting Delivery Condition: Castings are intended to be delivered as depicted on the reference drawing, but additional machining may be completed at NFPC if required for weight handling. Any requests to alter delivered castings prior to leaving NFPC should be included in the proposal.

• An extension of 30 days from the date of misalignment correction will be provided by NSWCCD.

• References and attachments have been updated via Amendment 1, impacting proposal preparation.

• A CLIN for cost-only travel will be added.

• Lifting & Handling Plug Drawing: Drawing No. V24557300 has been included in Amendment 2.

• Columbia Class Aft Casting Weight: The Aft casting is expected to weigh between 60,000 – 70,000 lbs as shipped, with approximately .125” of excess on all surfaces.
• Drawing No. 324551100: This is not a drawing associated with the solicitation. Drawing No. 324551110 has been uploaded, along with drawing No. 324557000 and referenced mono-detailed drawings in Amendment 2.

Amendment 2 has been issued to incorporate many of the requested documents and clarifications. Vendors should review Amendment 2 for updated information. The bid due date remains March 2, 2026, with GFM availability after contract award.
