Key Clarifications & Requirements
- Technical Specifications: Piping materials are stainless steel (A312-TP304L). Welding and hydrostatic testing must comply with ASME B31.3. 100% radiography is required for PPW butt welds, and 100% hydrostatic testing for PPW socket welds. Slip fittings are allowed on new piping, and X-ray testing is not required for field slip flange welds.
- Operational Constraints: Each pipe line can be down for a maximum of 8 hours on separate days, including a 3-hour USDA decontamination period. Work must be performed when outside temperatures are above 45°F.
- Site & Safety: Contractors must have a trained and equipped Confined Space program and an established Lock-out/Tag-out (LOTO) program. A REAL ID compliant driver's license is required for site access. Contractors must provide their own generator for power. Site verification for measurements is highly encouraged.
- Amendments: Amendment 0001 incorporates FAR 52.222-90 (DEI Discrimination). Amendments 0002 and 0003 add and revise Attachment 5, providing answers to industry questions. All amendments must be acknowledged.
