Scope of Work

The contractor shall provide comprehensive on-site diagnostic medical physicist services, including:

• Imaging Equipment Inspections: Annual, post-major repair, and upon new installation for various modalities (CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET, Fluoroscopy, Diagnostic X-Ray, Dental, CBCT).
• Protocol Review: Computed Tomography (CT) and fluoroscopy protocol review for dose optimization.
• Radiation Shielding: Lead shielding design, reports, and verification for new construction or changes to existing rooms.
• RSO Assistance: Support to the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) with staff radiation exposure calculations, fetal dose estimations, hospital personnel instruction, over-exposure reports, incident reviews, and attendance at biennial Machine-Produced Radiation Safety Committee (MPRSC) meetings.
• Additional Services: 24/7 phone consulting, performance testing of new/relocated equipment, and review of the facility's quality assurance program. Written reports are required for all services.

Contract Details

• Contract Type: Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ).
• Period of Performance: Five (5) one-year ordering periods, commencing April 1, 2026, through March 31, 2031.
• Estimated Value: The overall acquisition has an estimated value of $19.5 Million.
• Minimum/Maximum: A minimum guarantee of 3 diagnostic services in the initial fiscal year and a maximum quantity of 2,600 diagnostic services across all ordering periods.
