Quick Summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), specifically the VA San Diego Healthcare System (VASDHS), is soliciting quotes for Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) Services. This opportunity is a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. The purpose is to provide essential neurophysiologic monitoring during surgical procedures to eligible veterans. An amendment has extended the quote due date to February 23, 2026, at 3:00 PM PST.

Scope of Work

The contractor will provide comprehensive IONM services, including all necessary equipment, supplies, and labor, on an as-needed basis at VASDHS. Services aim to reduce the risk of neurological damage during surgery and provide real-time guidance to surgical teams. Key tasks include performing various monitoring techniques such as Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR), Visual Evoked Response (VER), Somatosensory Evoked Potential (SEP/SSEP), Electroencephalography (EEG), Electromyography (EMG), and Nerve Conduction Studies. Personnel must be technically proficient, collaborate with surgical teams, and adhere to national standards (e.g., The Joint Commission) and VA policies.

Personnel Qualifications

Personnel meeting any of the following professional qualifications are eligible:

  • Audiologists holding a Master's or Doctoral degree.
  • Technologists certified in intraoperative neuromonitoring through the Certified in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) credential.
  • Remote Neurologists providing intraoperative neurophysiologic oversight. All personnel must possess current, valid, unrestricted licenses as applicable and comply with ORTRAX facility requirements, drug testing, and background investigations.

Contract Details

This is an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with fixed-price line items. The contract period includes a base year (April 1, 2026 – March 31, 2027) and four option periods, extending potentially through March 31, 2031. The guaranteed minimum amount is $5,000.00.
