Statement of Work (SOW)

To provide repair services for the sandblasting system, specifically replacing eight (8) worn or aged conveyor belts at the US Naval Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center (SRF-JRMC) in Yokosuka.

• Furnish all labor, materials, transportation, and supervision for the repair service.

• Verify existing equipment functionality before belt replacement.

• Conduct a gas inspection of the enclosed area before entering the pit where belt conveyors are installed.

• Disassemble and remove components to access belt conveyors, with temporary storage space provided by the Government.

• Collect and bag blasting sand from the pit, using an anti-static vacuum cleaner if necessary.

• Replace each conveyor belt with a new one, adjusting alignment, tension, and centering after endless joint work.

• Reassemble all removed components to their original condition.

• Operational test to confirm normal operation of belt conveyors without misalignment, improper tension, or poor rubber joints.

• Submission of a condition report and cost estimation for any issues found beyond the scope of this repair.

• Submission of a satisfied test report including material specifications of the new conveyor belts and maintenance recommendations.

• The work must be completed within seven (7) consecutive days by August 31, 2026.

• Location: Insulation Shop (X-57, Bldg. 2067), US Naval Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center (SRF-JRMC), Yokosuka.

• New conveyor belts must be equivalent to or exceed existing specifications (JIS K6322 #125/2PLY/350W/3.0+1.5), with specific tensile strength, ply, width, and rubber cover details.

• Contractor shall submit a work schedule for Government approval.

• Operational test to be witnessed by a Government representative.

Amendment / Modification

This amendment (0001) to solicitation N6264926QB046 provides the Government's responses to questions received from prospective contractors.

• SOW Paragraph 1 & 3.b: Clarifications provided regarding the scope of "existing equipment" and the contractor's responsibilities.

This SOW details the requirements for providing repair services to the sandblasting system, specifically focusing on the replacement of eight worn or aged conveyor belts.

• Location: Insulation Shop (X-57, Bldg. 2067) at US Naval Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center (SRF-JRMC), Yokosuka.

• Operational test must confirm normal operation without belt misalignment, improper tension, or poor rubber joints.

• Test report required upon completion of the operational test.

• Period: Work must be completed within seven (7) consecutive days by July 31, 2026.

• Place: Insulation Shop (X-57, Bldg. 2067), Yokosuka.

• Work period excludes weekends and federal holidays.

• Government will provide space for temporary storage of disassembled components.

• Government will provide container bags for collected blasting sand.

• Contractor must use anti-static vacuum cleaners if applicable.
