This notice is a Request for Information (RFI) for market research purposes, not a solicitation or RFP. The Army Contracting Command – Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) is seeking information on industry capabilities for a potential five-year indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract to support the Automotive Gas Turbine (AGT) 1500 Engine Program. This includes hardware procurement and service requirements.

The RFI outlines several key areas of potential support:

• Demand Planning: Forecasting future demand and managing inventory.
• Hardware Procurement: Sourcing raw materials and components for engine overhaul, reset, and field demands.
• Repair: Repairing AGT 1500 engine components that Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) cannot repair.
• Program Management & Integration: Project engineering, systems engineering, logistics, quality, cost/schedule planning, and configuration management for the AGT 1500 Engine and its Digital Electronic Control Unit (DECU).
• Data Management: Managing program data using the Government’s Windchill PDMLink System.
• Field Service Support: Providing Field Service Engineers (FSEs) for data collection, training, troubleshooting, and repairs (depot level) in CONUS and OCONUS.
• Production Support: Overhaul support at ANAD, material management, supply chain management, data analysis, obsolescence management, and electronic maintenance work instructions.
• System Technical Support (STS): Engineering and technical support for the AGT 1500 Engine and Abrams Family of Vehicles (FoV), including testing and refurbishment.

Companies are encouraged to respond to all or part of the RFI. Key deliverables include:

• General Info and Services Questionnaire: To be completed by all respondents. Companies interested in Service Requirements should also complete Section D; those interested in Hardware Procurement should complete Section E.
• AGT 1500 Engine Program Parts List: Suppliers should indicate their capability to produce listed parts.

Drawings for parts are available upon submission of an approved DD 2345 Military Critical Technical Data Agreement. Requests for drawings must be received within 10 calendar days of the RFI posting.

All questions must be submitted in writing via email by 4:00 pm EST within 7 business days of posting.

Submission Deadline: 4:00 PM EST, January 29, 2026.

Submission Method: Electronically via the DoD SAFE Access and File Exchange (SAFE) website. A Drop-off code must be requested via email.

Information is sought from both small and large businesses. Specific questions regarding company size status and socio-economic classification are included in the questionnaire.

This RFI is for planning purposes only and does not obligate the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. Responses will not be returned, and no compensation is provided for participation. The Government may use responses to define future requirements.

The government is gathering information on industry interest, capabilities, and qualifications.

The AGT1500 Engine Program requirements encompass:

• Demand Planning: Forecasting future demand and managing inventory.

• Hardware Procurement: Timely procurement of raw materials and components for overhaul, reset, and field demands.

• Repair: Repairing AGT1500 engine components to restore them to a usable condition.

• Program Management & Integration: Overall program direction, project engineering, systems engineering, logistics, quality, cost/schedule planning, and configuration management.

• Data Management: Utilizing the Government’s Windchill PDMLink System.

• Field Service Support: Providing Field Service Engineers (FSEs) for data collection, training, troubleshooting, and repairs in CONUS and OCONUS.

• Production Support: Overhaul support, material management, supply chain management, data analysis, obsolescence management, and electronic maintenance work instructions.

• System Technical Support (STS): Engineering and technical support for the AGT1500 Engine and Abrams Family of Vehicles (FoV).

• RFI Deliverables: Companies are encouraged to respond to all or part of the requirements. Key deliverables include:

  • Completed AGT 1500 Engine Program Parts List.

• Drawing Requests: Drawings for parts are available to parties with an approved DD 2345 Military Critical Technical Data Agreement. Requests must be received within 10 calendar days of posting.

• Questions: Submit questions in writing via email by 4:00 pm EST within 7 business days of posting. Responses will be posted via amendment.

• Submission Deadline: All RFI deliverables must be received no later than 4:00 PM EST on January 23, 2026.

• Submission Method: Electronically via the DoD Safe Access and File Exchange (SAFE) website. A Drop-off code must be requested via email.

• Open to both small and large businesses.

• Companies are encouraged to respond if they can meet all or some of the program requirements.

• All RFI input is voluntary; no compensation will be made.

• This is not a solicitation or RFP; no contract award is guaranteed.

• Data submitted will not be returned.

• Proprietary information must be clearly marked.
