Quick Summary
The Department of the Army is conducting market research via a Request for Information (RFI) to identify sources capable of integrating Advanced Medium Mobile Power Sources (AMMPS) Kits onto either the 1-ton Light Tactical Trailer Heavy Chassis (LTT-HC) or the 2.5-ton M200A1 trailer. This RFI is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP). Responses are due by May 11, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
Purpose & Scope
The Government seeks to understand industry capabilities for integrating AMMPS 60kW generators (MEP-1070A) onto existing trailer platforms. The integration involves fabricating or procuring mounting hardware, brackets, and cables, then installing these components and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) according to the Government's Technical Data Package (TDP). The final integrated system must be safely towable and meet military environmental durability requirements (rain, dust, vibration). GFE, including generators and trailers, will be delivered to the vendor's facility.
Key Information Required
Respondents must provide a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost estimate per system for the integration of a PP-3106A Power Plant (most complex) and a PU-2001A Power unit (least complex). This estimate should include Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) and Recurring Per-Unit Production Cost for 50 units. Capability statements should address questions in Section 3 of the RFI, covering Company Overview, Past Performance & Experience, Production and Integration Capabilities, Programmatic Information, and Engineering and Security.
