Fit reasons
- NAICS alignment with historical contract wins in similar service areas.
- Scope strongly matches core technical capabilities and delivery model.
Risks
- Past performance thresholds may require one additional teaming partner.
- Potential clarification needed on staffing minimums before bid/no-bid.
Next steps
Validate eligibility requirements, assign capture owner, and schedule partner outreach to confirm teaming strategy before submission planning.
Quick Summary
The Department of the Army, specifically ACC-APG CONT CT WASH OFC, is conducting market research through this Request for Information (RFI) to identify sources capable of integrating Advanced Medium Mobile Power Sources (AMMPS) Kits onto either the 1-ton Light Tactical Trailer Heavy Chassis (LTT-HC) or the 2.5-ton M200A1 trailer. This RFI is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal. Responses are due May 13, 2026, at 3:30 PM EST.
Scope of Work
Vendors will be responsible for securely integrating Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), including generators (e.g., AMMPS 60kW MEP-1070A) and trailers (LTT-HC, M200A1). This integration requires fabricating or procuring all mounting hardware, brackets, and cables, and installing these components and GFE on the trailer in accordance with the government's Technical Data Package (TDP). The government owns the competitive TDP, which will be provided as Government Furnished Information (GFI) for subsequent competitive action. Vendors are responsible for any Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) associated with designing integration solutions, especially if fabricating unique components. The final integrated system must be safely towable and meet military environmental durability requirements.
Key Information Requested
Respondents should submit a capability statement addressing:
- Company Overview: Name, CAGE Code, UEI, Point of Contact, and company size under NAICS 336212.
- Past Performance & Experience: Examples of integrating electrical/mechanical systems onto vehicle/trailer platforms, particularly power generation equipment.
- Production and Integration Capabilities: Facility location, maximum monthly production capacity, storage capacity for trailers/generators, and shipping capabilities.
- Programmatic Information: Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost estimate per system for 50 units, including NRE and Recurring Per-Unit Production Costs, with a Basis of Estimate (BOE).
- Engineering and Security: Capabilities for mechanical/electrical integration, quality control, and facility security clearance.
Contract & Timeline
- Type: Sources Sought / Request for Information (RFI)
- NAICS Code: 336212 - Truck Trailer Manufacturing
- Set-Aside: None specified (market research stage)
- Response Due: May 13, 2026, 3:30 PM EST
- Published: May 13, 2026 (latest amendment date)
Additional Notes
This RFI has undergone multiple amendments. Amendment 3 clarified that vendors are responsible for designing the integration solution and NRE if fabricating unique components, while still using the government's TDP for overall guidance. Amendment 2 corrected the response deadline to May 13, 2026. This is for planning purposes only; no contract will be awarded based on this RFI. Primary Contact: Mary Suda (mary.a.suda.civ@army.mil).
