Scope of Work
The contractor shall provide and deliver approximately 8,001 tons of HMA Intermediate Course, Type B with PG 67-22 binder, and 8,072 gallons of Bituminous Tack and Prime Coats (1,960 gallons Tack Coat, 6,200 gallons Prime Coat). This includes all plant, labor, material, design, and supervision. Deliveries are for Taxiway Hotel at Avon Park Air Force Range, a Type A traffic area supporting C-17 Operations. Field and laboratory quality control testing are also required.
Key Requirements & Specifications
- HMA: Must be a minimum of 290 degrees Fahrenheit at delivery. Contractor must produce a minimum sub-lot of 500 tons during an 8-hour workday, with a maximum 30-minute interval between delivery trucks. HMA mixtures must conform to UFGS 32.12.15.13.
