Scope of Work
This contract requires the supply of Operating Rods in accordance with Naval Sea Systems Command drawing 7068535 item 62 and various ER drawings. Key requirements include:
- Material: QQ-N-286, form 2, annealed & age hardened, finish A, with no weld repair allowed.
- Certification: Quantitative chemical and mechanical analysis, annealing and age hardening, and ultrasonic inspection for specific QQ-N-286 materials. Slow Strain Rate Tensile Tests must be performed by approved laboratories.
- Quality Assurance: Adherence to ISO-9001 (or MIL-I-45208) and ISO-10012/ANSI-Z540.3 (or MIL-STD-45662) quality systems. Government Quality Assurance (GQA) at source is required.
- Traceability: Strict traceability and certification for Level I/SUBSAFE materials, including unique traceability numbers and material marking per MIL-STD-792.
- Configuration Control: Contractor must maintain equipment baseline configuration; Waivers/Deviations and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) require Contracting Officer approval.
- Other: Mercury-free materials, O-ring groove inspection per GAC standard CSD008, and Certificate of Compliance for Special Emphasis Material.
