Quick Summary

The United States Air Force is soliciting technical proposals for the replacement of emergency generators and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) at the Base Power Plant (Bldg #212) and Water Treatment Sewage Plant (Bldg #1215) at Morón Air Base, Spain. This project, identified as FA5575-26-B-0002, also includes replacing overhead high voltage lines with underground sections. The procurement uses a two-step sealed bidding method, with technical proposals due by June 15, 2026, at 1500 local time.

Purpose & Scope

The primary objective is to replace outdated emergency generators and ATS to ensure continuous electrical supply and operational reliability, complying with US, Spanish, and NATO codes. The project involves the design and build of new permanent emergency generators with ATS and associated electrical infrastructure. The total performance period is 730 calendar days, covering design, preconstruction, construction, and finish activities.

Contract Details

  • Type: Two-Step Sealed Bidding (RFO 14.211 and RFO 36)
  • Place of Performance: Morón Air Base, Seville, Spain
