Solicitation / RFP / RFQ

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation (RFQ) for commercial items, prepared in accordance with FAR Part 12 and simplified acquisition procedures. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking quotes for Solid Waste Removal and Disposal services for the Southeast Louisiana Veteran Health Care System (SLVHCS) located in New Orleans, LA.

• Comprehensive management of solid waste and recycling programs.

• Collection, transportation, and disposal of waste.

• Training and support for compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations.

• Waste audits and waste stream reduction plans.

• Recycling of scrap metal, pallets, shrink wrap, and plastic (HDPE 1-5).

• Provision and maintenance of collection equipment (compactors, open-top dumpsters).

• Compliance with EPA, FDA, DOT, and OSHA regulations.

• Development and implementation of recycling programs for various waste streams.

• Specific services include compactor hauls, open-top dumpster hauls, monthly compactor cleaning, and solid waste disposal per tonnage.

• Period of Performance: One (1) base year (April 20, 2026 - April 19, 2027) with four (4) one-year option periods.
