Scope of Work

The contractor will provide all labor, tools, materials, transportation, and inspections to install the necessary electrical infrastructure for the RSS-M. Key tasks include:

Installing a fused disconnect switch attached to an existing transformer on the northeastern section of the base.
Trenching between the existing transformer and the proposed post location.
Installing a post with a safety disconnect switch, grounding, and ground rods.
Installing PVC Schedule 40 conduit below grade and Heavy-Wall Rigid RMC Metal conduit above grade.
Installing conductors for a 100A 240 VAC single phase service.
Metering the new service with an Itron Centron Polyphase electric meter and installing utility-grade solid-core current transformers. All infrastructure is for a temporary installation and will be removed as requirements change.

Period of Performance: Work to be performed as soon as practical after contract award, based on ground conditions. Delivery required within 60 days after award.

Special Requirements & Clarifications

Contractor must adhere to all rules and regulations required by the county, Selfridge Air National Guard Base, and the state of Michigan.
Inspections will be conducted by DHS and 127th Civil Engineering staff.
Contractor must provide its own bathroom facilities.
Dig permits from both Miss Dig and the Selfridge ANG Base Civil Engineering unit are required prior to trenching or hand digging.
All new meter installations must include voltage and current safety disconnects, fuses, and outdoor-rated weatherproof cabinets.
The existing transformer utility is owned by Selfridge ANG.
