- Material Certification: Quantitative chemical and mechanical analysis for specified parts.
- Testing: Annealing and Age Hardening, and Ultrasonic Inspection on starting QQ-N-286 material (diameter/minimum distance of 4 inches or greater).
- Specialized Testing: Slow Strain Rate Tensile Tests for QQ-N-286 must be conducted by one of several pre-approved laboratories.
- Thread Specifications: Internal threads must be cut (no cold forming) and inspected per FED-STD-H28 series.

Evaluation
