- Submission: Contractors must deliver one (1) unit of CAGE (05259) Part Number 582E001 within 120 calendar days of contract award to designated test facilities in Lakehurst, NJ, or Picatinny Arsenal, NJ.
- Testing: FAT includes visual/dimensional inspection, initial and final leak tests, an 18-inch free fall drop test, and a form/fit check.
- Costs: The estimated cost for FAT is $10,000, which will be added to the offeror's price if testing is required. All FAT-related costs and responsibilities are borne by the contractor.
- Waiver Option: Offerors may request a waiver of FAT requirements if they have previously supplied identical production articles within three years, using the same production location and processes. Two prices (one with FAT, one with waiver) should be submitted if requesting a waiver.
