• Strict compliance with welding and welder qualifications (e.g., AWS D1.1, D1.2, D1.3, D1.6) and cleaning procedures (MIL-C-5541).
• Substitution of cadmium plating with electrodeposited alkaline Zinc-Nickel Alloy (ASTM B 841 Class 1, Type B, Grade 3).
• Assignment of serial numbers following a specified convention.
• The specified shock mount from the drawing package is required; substitution is only permitted with written approval from Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, or if an alternate is explicitly identified in the contract.
• Ensuring upper frame and strapping are secured prior to shipment.

First Article Test (FAT) Requirements

• Submission: One (1) unit of CAGE (05259) Part Number 882E001, Revision LATEST, within 120 calendar days of contract award.
• Testing: Includes visual, dimensional, initial and final leak tests, and an 18-inch free fall drop test.
• Cost: An estimated $10,000 for FAT will be added to all offerors' prices for evaluation purposes. All FAT submission and shipment costs are borne by the contractor.
• Approval: Government will notify approval/disapproval within 90 days of receipt. Disapproval may lead to additional FATs at contractor's expense.
• Waiver: A waiver for FAT may be granted for offerors who have previously supplied identical, accepted production units within three years, using the same production location, and can provide a specific certification. Offerors requesting a waiver must submit two prices: one with FAT, one without.
