Evaluation & First Article Testing (FAT)

  • Pre-Award/Post-Award: A pre-award survey and post-award conference may be required for new manufacturers due to the item's critical use and quality history.
  • FAT Requirements: Offerors must submit one (1) unit of CAGE (05259) Part Number 882E001 within 120 calendar days of contract award for testing. The estimated government testing cost is $10,000, which will be added to offerors' prices for solicitation purposes. FAT includes dimensional tests, leak tests (initial and final), and an 18-inch free fall drop test. The government will notify the contractor of approval/disapproval within 90 days of receipt.
