Scope of Work
This contract requires the manufacturing of "Slide" components in accordance with Naval Sea Systems Command Drawing 751-6402630, Find Number 1, and DN6402630B1. Key requirements include:
- Use of QQ-N-286 material, Form 2, Annealed and Age Hardened, Finish A/B, with no weld repair allowed.
- Mandatory quantitative chemical and mechanical analysis for certified parts.
- Specific testing certifications, including ultrasonic inspection for starting material (QQ-N-286, 4 inches or greater diameter) and annealing/age hardening for the Slide component.
- Slow Strain Rate Tensile Tests must be performed by one of several pre-approved laboratories.
- Strict thread inspection requirements per FED-STD-H28 series, with internal threads formed by cutting.
- A Certificate of Compliance is required for all SPECIAL EMPHASIS material.
- Configuration control must be maintained, with Waivers/Deviations and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) submitted via the Electronic Contractor Data Submission (ECDS) system.

Quality Assurance & Evaluation
Offerors must provide and maintain a quality system in accordance with ISO-9001 (amplified herein) and ISO-10012 or ANSI-Z540.3 with ISO-17025 (or MIL-I-45208 with MIL-STD-4). Government Quality Assurance (GQA) at source is required. The Government reserves the right to inspect subcontractor facilities. Past performance will be considered in the evaluation of offers (FAR 13.106(a)(2) and DFARS 252.213-7000). All contracts will be DO rated orders for national defense use under DPAS.
