Quick Summary
The Department of the Air Force is conducting a Sources Sought for a study on the Control and Reporting Center (CRC) program's power, fuel, data, water, air handling, and transportation systems. This market research aims to identify potential sources and determine if the effort can be set aside for small businesses. A no-cost Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) is requested. Responses are due by March 31, 2026.
Purpose & Scope
This is a market research effort to gather information for planning purposes only, not a solicitation. The Air Force seeks to identify contractors capable of conducting a comprehensive study of CRC equipment and supporting systems at operational sites. The study will provide critical information for CRC modernization, ensuring future requirements for power, fuel, data, water, air, and transportation systems are identified and addressed.
Key Areas of Study
The study will address:
- Power Generation System: Issues with aging tactical generators and power distribution.
- Fuel System: Replacement of outdated storage and distribution systems.
- Data Network System: Modification from a hub-and-spoke to a mesh model.
- Water Management: Identifying capability gaps for potable, gray, and black water systems.
- HVAC System: Identifying capability gaps for environmental control units (ECUs).
- Transportation Equipment: Assessing needs for mobile radar and communications equipment deployment vehicles.
The study will analyze current and modernized CRC configurations, recommend future equipment, identify gaps, and create architectural diagrams. A Technical Data Package (TDP) will be provided after contract award.
Submission Requirements & Timeline
This is not an RFP, and the Air Force is not obligated to make an award. Responses are limited to 5 single-sided pages (excluding product data sheets) and should be submitted electronically via email. A no-cost Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) for performing the study is requested.
- Response Due Date: March 31, 2026
- Planned Study Start: March 2026
- Planned Final Study Report Delivery: End of Fiscal Year 2026
