Project Description & Scope

The project involves comprehensive modifications and upgrades to a fuel transfer area. Key tasks include:

• Replacing an existing 5,000-gallon diesel tank with a new 5,000-gallon double-wall UL-2085 tank.
• Providing secondary containment, including a trench drain, HDPE piping, a remote containment basin with pump-out, and rip rap at the outfall. Existing containment structures in the drain line area will be demolished.
• Replacing the Emergency Fuel Shut-Off (EFSO) system.
• Constructing a reinforced concrete fueling area (parking pad) capable of accommodating fuel delivery and receiving vehicles, requiring asphalt removal and replacement.
• Providing an access platform with handrails and a reinforced concrete landing.
• Replacing the Ronan Automated Tank Gauging (ATG) console with a Veeder Root TLS-450, including a new MAG probe and manufacturer-recommended cable.

• Prime Contractor Narrative: Interested prime contractors must submit a narrative (maximum 2 pages) demonstrating experience in similar construction projects. This should detail company contact information, CAGE Code and DUNS/EID, business size, teaming arrangements, similar project examples (including role, dates, references, cost, and complexity), and bonding capability (Performance and Payment Bonds).
• Key Capabilities: Proven experience in managing construction projects with strong leadership, quality control, and OSHA-compliant safety programs; expertise in demolition, reinforced concrete work, excavation, trenching, backfill, pavement removal/replacement; current certifications and experience in installing UL 2085 aboveground fuel tanks, HDPE piping, and dispenser systems (PEI and NFPA standards); capability to fabricate and erect OSHA-compliant steel access platforms; and licensed electricians experienced with fuel management and Veeder-Root TLS-450 ATG systems.
