Scope of Work
This opportunity requires the production, kitting, packaging, and delivery of 2,022 assembled vertical support positioning kits for the ALS-U SR Magnets. Key components include Class 8.8 grade steel studs and nuts, stainless steel spherical washers, and oil-impregnated bronze or steel PTFE impregnated thrust washers. Contract Details
This is a Firm Fixed-Price subcontract. Ordered items must be delivered 8 Weeks After Receipt of Order (ARO). Payment terms are within 15 days of receipt, with full payment after final acceptance. The subcontract emphasizes the use of environmentally preferable products, waste minimization, and compliance with California Toxics in Packaging Prevention Act and UC Sustainable Practices Policy, prohibiting foam packaging. The awarded subcontract will incorporate the Statement of Work AL-1772-1589 Rev. A and General Provisions for Commercial Supplies & Services.
Set-Aside & Eligibility
This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside (FAR 19.5). Proposals are solicited exclusively from small business concerns, though joint ventures or teaming arrangements with large businesses are accepted. The NAICS code is 333248 with a size standard of 750 employees.
Submission & Evaluation
Proposals are due February 13, 2026, no later than 3:00 PM Pacific Time, and must be submitted via email to AAnoop@lbl.gov. Questions for clarification are due by January 22, 2026. Proposals will be evaluated based on technical acceptability and lowest evaluated price. Key evaluation criteria include:
