Scope of Work
This project requires the contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision for the removal and disposal of ten (10) existing exterior door assemblies and the installation of new ones on the UPH and Main Buildings. Key specifications include:
- Installation of nine (9) single and one (1) double exterior metal door and frame assemblies.
- Doors and all applicable hardware must be 316 stainless steel, coated for weather and corrosion resistance.
- Locking mechanisms: Two doors will receive push-button style locks (comparable to Kaba Simplex 1000 Series), while the remaining eight will have lever locksets with BEST 7-Pin cylinders to match existing, all cylindrical. The northern UPH housing door will have a blank back plate (exit only).
- Required finish work includes drywall repairs, wall painting (corner to corner), weatherproofing, and epoxy paint (white) for the doors.
- Initial access codes for new locks must be programmed.
- All work must comply with OSHA, federal, state, and local regulations, as well as building, life safety, and accessibility requirements.
- Proposed materials and doors will be reviewed for compliance with the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO), and doors must match what is being replaced.
