  • Testing & Certification: Quantitative chemical and mechanical analysis, annealing and age hardening certifications, and ultrasonic inspection on starting material. Slow Strain Rate Tensile Tests must be performed by pre-approved laboratories.
  • Quality Assurance: Adherence to ISO-9001 (or MIL-I-45208) quality systems, with calibration per ISO-10012 or ANSI-Z540.3 with ISO-17025. The contractor's quality system and products are subject to Government evaluation and inspection.
  • Traceability & Configuration Control: Strict material traceability from raw material to final product, including unique marking per MIL-STD-792. Comprehensive configuration control, including procedures for waivers, deviations, and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), is required.
  • Inspection: Detailed receiving, in-process, and final inspections are mandated, with material sampling per ANSI/ASQ-Z1.4 or Statistical Process Control (SPC). 100% inspection of material verification data and traceability markings is required.
  • Certificates of Compliance: A detailed Certificate of Compliance (Special Emphasis C of C) is required, certifying full compliance with specifications and listing all performed tests.
