Quick Summary
The Department of the Air Force (FA8539 AFSC PZABA) is issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for five (5) new APX-103 Stepping Motors (NSN 6105-01-495-4060CX, Part Number 667-60004). This is a sole-source procurement to Northrop Grumman Corporation to rectify a fiscal error related to a previous delivery order. Quotations are due May 12, 2026.
Purpose & Background
This procurement addresses an Anti-Deficiency Act (ADA) violation where Northrop Grumman previously supplied new manufactured units instead of performing contracted repairs under Delivery Order FA8539-24-F-0002. The government incorrectly paid for these new units using "repair" funds. This RFQ aims to fund the acquisition with the correct "buy" dollars to ensure federal law compliance. The action is justified as sole-source under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).
