Scope of Work
The contractor will be responsible for supplying and delivering specified fuels over a base year and three option periods (two option years and a 127-day option period).
- Fuel Types: Off-Road Diesel (or RD99) and Ultra-Low Sulphur Gasoline.
- Estimated Quantities:
- Base Year: 40,000 gallons of diesel, 2,000 gallons of unleaded gas.
- Option Year 1: 40,000 gallons of diesel, 2,000 gallons of unleaded gas.
- Option Year 2: 40,000 gallons of diesel, 2,000 gallons of unleaded gas.
- Option Period 3 (127 days): 13,000 gallons of diesel, 750 gallons of unleaded gas.
- Delivery Details: Diesel deliveries to a 2,500-gallon Above Ground Storage Tank (AST) via a 2" internal line; gasoline in 5-gallon containers. Weekly diesel deliveries (max 1,000 gallons/delivery), with all deliveries required within 24 hours of notification.
- Performance Standards: Fuel must meet ASTM D975 and California EPA Standards. Contractor must provide Safety Data Sheets (SDS), have a certified metering mechanism for diesel, and submit an approved spill prevention plan.
- Special Requirements: Contractor personnel must be "fit for duty," comply with all regulations, provide necessary equipment and PPE, and coordinate deliveries with the island Ferry Concessioner. A site visit is highly recommended.
