Fit reasons
- NAICS alignment with historical contract wins in similar service areas.
- Scope strongly matches core technical capabilities and delivery model.
Risks
- Past performance thresholds may require one additional teaming partner.
- Potential clarification needed on staffing minimums before bid/no-bid.
Next steps
Validate eligibility requirements, assign capture owner, and schedule partner outreach to confirm teaming strategy before submission planning.
Quick Summary
The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) has issued an Innovative Solutions Opening (ISO) for the Technology InteGrator and AcceleratoR (TIGAR) effort. This initiative seeks foundational proofs-of-concept for stabilizing regenerative tissues and organs through enabling technologies for temperature-flexible storage. The goal is to overcome current roadblocks in storing and distributing complex biologics, reducing reliance on strictly controlled temperature zones. This is Amendment 1 to the original ISO, updating webinar and registration dates.
Scope of Work
TIGAR aims to develop new paths for stabilizing regenerative tissues and organs by seeding enabling technologies for temperature-flexible storage in increasingly larger and more complex biological systems. Solutions may involve new materials, AI/ML, high-throughput screening, biological interventions, devices, processing methods, analytical technology, and packaging. Concepts must demonstrate progress towards functional preservation of organoids, organs, organ sub-units, or 1 cm³ volumes of tissue for at least 30 days at practical temperatures. Innovations at the cellular level without a strategy for deployment in thick tissues will not be considered.
