Scope of Work

The objective is to reduce fuel load around key areas like the Headquarters, Historical District, and Cave Creek Campground. Work includes pruning remaining trees, bucking dead and down material, and protecting park visitors, rare plants, archaeological sites, and wildlife habitat. Motorized equipment is limited to hand-held and hand-carried items. Future pile burning is not part of this contract.
Period & Place of Performance
Work is anticipated to begin between July 16-20, 2026, and must be completed by September 30, 2026. Performance will be within the Oregon Caves National Monument & Preserve, specifically along Highway 46 and the Historical District.
