This material is designated as SPECIAL EMPHASIS (Level I, Scope of Certification, or Quality Assured) due to its critical use in shipboard systems, where failure could lead to serious injury, loss of life, or loss of vital systems/ship. The Navy will supply NSN 1H9510-01-495-9543X2 for the manufacture of stems.

Requirements & Evaluation
This solicitation requires First Article Testing (FAT). Offerors must have a valid U.S. Security Clearance of CONFIDENTIAL or higher to access classified annexes and respond. Past performance will be considered in the evaluation. Contractors must maintain a quality system in accordance with ISO-9001 (or MIL-I-45208 as an alternate) and adhere to extensive traceability and certification requirements for Level I/SUBSAFE material. The resultant award will be DO certified under DPAS.
