Quick Summary

The Department of the Air Force, specifically the 97th Contracting Squadron (FA4419), is soliciting proposals for Vindicator Intrusion Detection System (IDS) Installation Services at Building 503, Air Combat Training Center (ACTC), Tyndall Air Force Base, FL. This Total Small Business Set-Aside opportunity requires the design, procurement, and installation of a new IDS to replace an obsolete system, with a brand name restriction to Honeywell Vindicator hardware. Proposals are due May 08, 2026, at 01:00 p.m. (CDT).

Scope of Work

The contractor will provide a full replacement of all IDS sensors, install new cabling and access panels, and remove all old IDS components in Building 503. The installation must occur in parallel with the existing system to avoid operational interference. The new system must integrate with Tyndall AFB's existing Electronic Security System (ESS). Key design requirements include two Honeywell Premise Control Units (PCU), two Honeywell Site Commanders, UL 634 Level II High Security Switches (HSS), and UL 639 motion sensors (PIRs). All components must comply with AFI 31-101, ICD/ICS-705 Chapter 7, Tyndall AFB specifications, ESE-SIT-0001, and UL 2050 Extent 3. New drilling for cable infrastructure requires MAJCOM approval, and new cabling must be installed without reusing existing infrastructure. The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary equipment, infrastructure upgrades, conduit, junction boxes, and pull boxes, ensuring complete coverage with approved equipment. Personnel must be certified by Vindicator Security Solutions Technical Services group.
