Scope of Work
The vendor shall provide the temporary rental of one (1) 800 HP Clever Brooks Steam Boiler, one (1) Mobile Office with AC/Heating, annual maintenance, and APCD permitting for the rental boiler. This includes one year of rental service, integration into the existing 125 PSIG steam grid at the VAMC San Diego, and all necessary labor, materials, maintenance, and engineering support. The mobile office requires a 7,500 BTU/hr Heater, 3,800 BTU/hr AC, and a 42” Steel Walk-In Door. Annual boiler maintenance includes one annual inspection, replacement of gaskets, safety valve inspection/rebuild, component inspection, scale removal, two semi-annual combustion tunes, four quarterly safety checks, and a minimum of 10 hours monthly for checks and minor repairs. Repairs during the rental period are covered under warranty. The vendor must obtain and renew all required permits from APCD or local jurisdictions. The temporary boiler must operate on Natural Gas (9ppm NOx) and #2 Oil, with a Max Fuel Input of 33,600,000 BTU/Hr and a Steam Capacity of 31,050 lbs/hr at 212°F. All work must comply with industry and VA standards.
Contract Details
- Type: Sources Sought (Market Research Only). This is not a solicitation and does not obligate the Government to award a contract.
- NAICS Code: 532490 (Rental and Leasing of Other Machinery, Equipment, and Supplies) with a $40.0 Million size standard.
- Set-Aside: Primarily for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). If SDVOSB responses are inadequate, an alternate set-aside or full and open competition may be considered. The VA is mandated by Public Law 109-461 to consider a total set-aside for SDVOSBs.
- No sub-contracting opportunities are anticipated.
