• Company Experience will be evaluated based on references (up to three contracts within the last three years).

• Past Performance will be evaluated using an "Acceptable," "Neutral," or "Unacceptable" rating system.

• This is a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside.

Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To repair irrigation well 33C at the Roman L. Hurska U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC) to support the production of roughage and other feeds for livestock.

• Provide all tools, equipment, parts, and labor for the repair of irrigation well 33C.

• Tasks include:

  • Replacing the bowl assembly.
  • Replacing 231' of 9" x 2 1/2" column assembly.
  • Replacing the top tension assembly.
  • Replacing a 9" threaded column adapter.
  • Replacing the Amarillo gear drive.
  • Replacing drip oil, gaskets, and bolts.
  • Providing labor to reset the pump and test.
  • Performing an efficiency test.

• The contractor must coordinate work times with the Government Point of Contact, working between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm on agreed-upon dates.

• Any defective components not listed in the bid schedule must be reported to the Government Point of Contact.

• The contractor must operate the well at its intended operating speed to prove correct operation before the work is considered complete.

• Replaced items must be left with the research center in a suitable area.

• The repaired well (33C Irrigation well) must be capable of pumping 800 GPM.

• The new pump must meet or exceed the specifications of the current Western Roller pump (serial number E72384).

• A new cement pad (approximately a 3-foot square) must be poured under the gearhead after removal of the current cracked cement pad.

• The current gear drive is an Amarillo right angle gear drive (100 HP at 1760 RPM) with specific ratio specifications; the replacement must be compatible.

• A one-time repair of the irrigation well within the expected time frame.

• Period of Performance: Work must be completed by May 1, 2026.
