Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This document outlines the work required for the rehabilitation of wet wells at lift stations located in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area, specifically at Temple Bar and Katherine Landing, AZ.

• Coating Application: Install protective coating (QRM Structure Guard SE1000 or acceptable equal) to three wet wells: one at Temple Bar (concrete structure with failing fiberglass liner) and two at Katherine Landing (fiberglass structures).

• Surface Preparation (Temple Bar): Remove failing liner material and seal cracks/holes in the Temple Bar wet well prior to coating.

• Pipe Intrusion Sealing: Seal all pipe intrusions in wet wells prior to coating at both locations.

• Bypass Pumping: Provide bypass pumping for sewage flow during coating installation. Specific requirements include pumping from Back Bay to Main lift station at Katherine Landing, and from Main lift station to sewage lagoons through the force main.

• Confined Space Entry: Develop and adhere to a Confined Space Entry Program SOP, following all protocols.

• Safety: Install safety barriers to prevent unauthorized personnel and public access to the work zone.

• Bypass Pumping Plan: Submit a bypass pumping plan for approval by NPS personnel (COR) and the NPS LAKE engineering office.

• Performance Period: 180 calendar days from receipt of award, including submittals, mobilization, diversion, and relining.

• Locations: Katherine Landing, AZ (developed area) and Temple Bar, AZ (developed area).

• Coating Standards: All coatings must meet ASTM D638, D790, D695, and D4541 compliance. Submittals for alternative coatings must demonstrate equal or superior performance.

• Site Access & Use: Work is confined to project area limits. Contractor personnel require specific access arrangements. Adherence to park regulations is mandatory.

• Working Hours: Regular hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Extended hours require approval.

• Site Visit: A site visit is scheduled for May 6, 2026, at 0800 (Local Time) at 101 Katzenbach Dr, Boulder City, NV 89005.

• Prohibitions: Smoking is prohibited within 25 feet of buildings. Damage to natural features must be prevented and restored at no cost to the government.
