This document provides responses to vendor questions regarding the Wood Packaging solicitation (W519TC-26-Q-A101).

• Filler Assembly Pricing: Pricing for Filler Assembly on CLINS 0002, 0004, and 0005 is not required as fillers are produced in-house.
• Solicitation Scope: The solicitation requires only the components, not the completed crates/boxes.
• Lumber Acceptability: Southern Yellow Pine (SYP) is not acceptable for MIL-DTL-15011 Pallets but is acceptable for plywood and delivery pallets. Heat treat marks, preservative treat marks, and manufacturer marks are required for pallets, along with treatment and marking of dunnage IAW 19-48-4116 Rev 14.
• Packaging: Items must be palletized separately, but can travel together on the same truck. Double stacking is acceptable where appropriate for transport efficiency, but a height above 56 inches is not recommended.
• CLIN Quantities: Maximum per ordering period quantities are specified for CLIN 0005 (60 each), CLIN 0006 (35 each), and CLIN 0007 (20,000).
• Pallet Type: Standard "throw away" pallets are acceptable; they do not have to be MIL-DTL-15011 and must support stacked loads.
• Delivery Timeframe: First delivery date is currently unknown. Delivery will vary per delivery order.
• Wood Preservatives: Type I is suitable for all applications. Type III is suitable for all applications except wirebound boxes.
• Quality Samples: The fill-ins for days required to submit quality samples have now been provided.

Amendment / Modification

Amendment 0001 to Solicitation W519TC-26-Q-A101 includes the following changes:

• Extension of the solicitation closing date from April 10, 2026, to April 17, 2026.

• Attachment 0008 is now incorporated.

• The proposal submission deadline has been extended to April 17, 2026, at 12:00 PM local time.

• Filler Assembly Pricing: Pricing for Filler Assembly on CLINs 0002, 0004, and 0005 is not required as fillers are produced in-house.

• Lumber Acceptability: Southern Yellow Pine (SYP) is not acceptable as it is Group II lumber and not suitable for MIL-DTL-15011 Pallets.
• Markings & Certifications: Pallets require heat treat marks, preservative treat marks, and manufacturer marks. Dunnage material must be treated and marked per IAW 19-48-4116 Rev 14, Para AA.
• Packaging: Items must be palletized separately, optimized for 48x40 pallets, and can be double-stacked. A height above 56 inches is not recommended.
• CLIN Quantities: Clarification on maximum quantities per ordering period for CLIN 0005 (60 each), CLIN 0006 (35 each), and CLIN 0007 (20,000).
