• Staffing: A single individual can serve as QA/QC and PM. A Superintendent can be SSHO. However, a Superintendent cannot be triple-hatted as SSHO, QA/QC, and PM. A Superintendent can be a quality control manager if not already dual-hatted as SSHO/Superintendent.
• Asbestos: No known asbestos or hazardous material was found on-site. Drawings showing the current survey are available.
• Device Communication: Wireless devices will communicate with the Metasys system. Refer to schematic diagram P903 for details. Additional repeaters may be needed for complete installation.
• Project Schedule: The project is not tied to the completion of the new water tower. Coordination for devices at the new water tower will occur at the time of award.
• Device Location: For Building 38, the monitoring device is to be mounted on the incoming water line inside the pipe tunnel, just prior to entering the crawlspace/basement. Revised plans may not show this location.
• Power Requirements: Devices require 2#12 + 1#12G in 3/4" conduit, connected to the nearest 208/120V power panel. A new receptacle may be needed. It does not require 3-phase power.
• Integration: Devices will integrate into JCI and communicate via the VA BACnet system. No Wi-Fi is needed. The system is NO JCI/METASYS only.
• Fiber Optics: Fiber optic cabling is not required; communication is via open-air, wireless.
• Maintenance: No maintenance is required under this contract beyond a standard 1-year warranty. Ongoing maintenance will be procured separately.
• ICRA Barriers: No barriers are anticipated, but VA will confirm. If required, AE has no objection to STARC panel systems.
