Scope of Work
The contractor will provide comprehensive design and construction services to repair the parking garages. Key requirements include:
- Addressing deficiencies such as insufficient weld sizes, loose/overlapping plates, spalling, cracks, failed joint sealants, corroded shear wall connections, and drainage issues.
- Ensuring parking garages remain operational during construction.
- Using hospital-grade materials per DVA Technical Information Library (TIL) or industry standards.
- Implementing robust quality control, including a 3rd party Florida Board of Professional Engineers (FBPE) Structural Engineer, a certified third-party special inspector, steel fabricator shop inspection, and a Certified Independent Third Party (CITP) American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
- Excluding plumbing from the scope, as AC condensate lines will be re-routed in-house.
