Scope of Work
This solicitation requires the accomplishment of cargo fuel tank cleaning and gas-freeing services for six (6) cargo fuel oil tanks (Diesel and JP-5, capacities 25,899 to 34,695 gallons) on the Fuel Oil Barge YON-290. The work involves:
- Opening, ventilating, gas-freeing, emptying, cleaning, and drying each tank.
- Ventilating harmful vapors externally.
- Removing and disposing of waste liquid to a Government-provided conveyance.
- Installing new gaskets and fasteners for manhole covers.
- Compliance with occupational and health standards (29 CFR 1915) and quality assurance standards (NAVSEA Standard Item 009-04).
