Scope of Work
The contractor will be responsible for:
- Mattress Removal: Carefully removing approximately 300 mattresses from the YRBM-58 berthing barge, ensuring no damage to the mattresses or shipboard structures.
- Transportation: Transporting mattresses to a contractor-provided climate-controlled storage facility using covered or enclosed vehicles, adhering to base access requirements.
- Climate-Controlled Storage: Storing mattresses in a secure, indoor facility maintaining temperatures between 68-75°F and relative humidity between 40-60%. Mattresses must be elevated, protected from pests, moisture, and direct sunlight. An inventory log must be maintained.
- Accountability & Reporting: Providing a receipt/inventory list upon pickup, maintaining a storage log, and immediately notifying the Government of any damage.
- Return of Mattresses: Returning all mattresses to Naval Base Guam within 5 business days of Government request, in the same condition as received, with labor for offloading.
