Scope of Work

- Farmington Landing: Demolition of existing guardrails, trash cans, and benches; grading and re-surfacing parking lots with crushed stone; installation of new wood guardrails, fishing rod holders, and wildlife-resistant trash receptacles; and planting a native sycamore tree.
- Fort Foote: Demolition and removal of a defunct composting toilet; grading and re-surfacing parking lots and the access road with crushed stone; installation of new wood parking stops and guardrails; replacement of a metal culvert; and installation of wildlife-resistant trash receptacles.
- General: All work requires traffic management, safety controls, proper waste disposal, and restoration to acceptable standards, strictly adhering to Architectural Barriers Act Accessibility Standards (ABAAS) Chapter 10 Outdoor Recreational Standards. Optional items include new picnic tables and Visitor Information Signage (VIS) replacement at both locations.

Special Notes
A mandatory site visit was previously scheduled. Contractors are responsible for verifying site conditions, providing temporary facilities (e.g., porta-potties), and adhering to strict environmental and archeological protection measures. No government utilities, survey/CAD data, or geotechnical reports will be provided. NPS will serve as the Authority Having Jurisdiction for inspections. Both parks will be closed during construction.
