This SOW defines the requirements for a contractor to provide labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to remove and replace existing Mitsubishi mini-split HVAC systems with new, comparable, and energy-efficient units at the Chickamauga/Chattanooga National Military Park.

• The contractor shall be NATE (North American Technician Excellence) certified with at least 2 years of field experience and recertification every 2 years.

• Perform a complete, turnkey replacement of existing HVAC equipment.

• Install eighteen (18) new Mitsubishi 230V, 25 amp outdoor units and eighteen (18) new Mitsubishi WR series mini-split high-wall indoor units (or approved equivalents).

• Ensure new units match or exceed the performance of the replaced units.

• Safely decommission and evacuate refrigerant from existing units in compliance with EPA regulations.

• Dispose of all removed equipment, components, and construction debris off-site at an approved facility.

• Install new refrigerant line sets, UV-resistant line set covers/raceways, low-voltage control wiring, digital remote thermostats, and properly sloped condensate drain lines.

• Charge new systems with appropriate refrigerant and perform comprehensive startup and commissioning.

• Conduct a full operational test of all eighteen (18) zones in heating and cooling modes.

• NATE certification is mandatory for contractors.

• Installation must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local codes.

• Compliance with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Historic Preservation is required.

• Refrigerant handling must comply with EPA regulations.

• New systems must meet manufacturer specifications and be fully functional.

• Place of Performance: Chickamauga/Chattanooga National Military Park, various designated facilities.

• Proof of proper refrigerant disposal.

• Access to work areas and existing electrical power at building service panels will be provided.

• Removal and Disposal of Existing Units: Safely decommission and evacuate refrigerant from eighteen (18) existing outdoor and indoor units per EPA regulations. Disconnect and remove associated line sets, wiring, and condensate lines. Dispose of all removed equipment and debris off-site at an approved facility.

• New System Installation: Install eighteen (18) new Mitsubishi outdoor and indoor units in existing locations. Install new, insulated, and UV-resistant refrigerant line sets, low-voltage control wiring in raceways, and new digital remote thermostats. Install new, properly sloped condensate drain lines.
