Scope of Work
The project involves the comprehensive milling, repaving, and striping of approximately 24,690 sq. ft. of the main entrance road. This includes milling/scarifying 2 inches of existing asphalt, applying a new 2-inch asphalt layer to ensure proper drainage, and striping driving lanes according to NCDOT requirements. Additionally, the scope covers repairing, cleaning, and painting existing concrete curbing, and repairing/reseeding any disturbed earth areas. The contractor will also be responsible for installing seven (7) new 30x30 inch solar-powered LED Stop signs, nine (9) 30x30 inch solar-powered LED Pedestrian crosswalk signs, and nine (9) new 12x24 inch directional arrow traffic signs. All excess materials and waste must be removed and disposed of offsite. The contractor will provide all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, supervision, and coordination.

Set-Aside & Eligibility
This is a market research effort, and responses from all business sizes and socioeconomic categories will be reviewed. The acquisition strategy will be determined based on the responses received. Pursuant to 38 U.S.C. 8127(d), the acquisition is anticipated to be set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) or Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSBs) if there is a reasonable expectation of receiving two or more offers from eligible, capable, and verified firms at a fair and reasonable price. If responses from qualified firms are inadequate, an alternate set-aside or full and open competition may be considered.
