• Modernization: Upgrade to Hybrid OR standards in accordance with the Surgical and Endovascular Services Design Guide, VA design manuals, and specifications.
• Structural Modifications: Installation of structural steel framing for C-arm and ceiling-hung equipment, addressing design loads for wind, seismic, and gravity.
• HVAC Systems: Replacement of AHU-60, upgrades to ventilation, and adherence to specific load calculations and air change rates.
• Electrical Systems: Modifications to electrical distribution, installation of new isolated power panels, and updated lighting design.
• Plumbing & Medical Gas: Extension of medical gas piping (Oxygen, Vacuum, Medical Air, Nitrous Oxide, Nitrogen), domestic water, and sanitary drainage systems, with detailed pressure drop calculations.
• Specialized Equipment Integration: Pre-installation requirements for Philips Azurion 7 C20 FlexArm, KARL STORZ OR1® NEO-IP Series System, and Baxter/Hillrom surgical lights/EMS.
• Safety & Compliance: Adherence to Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA), Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM), and compliance with Davis Bacon Wage Determinations. An Asbestos & Water Damage Assessment Report confirms no asbestos but notes presumed lead-containing material in Angio Lab walls.
